Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of VidyaSuite ("the Service"), operated from India. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. The service

VidyaSuite is a multi-tenant school-management platform that lets schools manage students, staff, academics, attendance, fees, and communications. Each registered school operates on an isolated subdomain or a verified custom domain.

2. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when registering a school or creating a user.
• You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.
• Only someone authorised to represent a school may create that school's account.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to violate anyone's rights.
• Upload content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, or infringes intellectual property.
• Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without our written permission.
• Attempt to bypass tenant isolation, rate limits, or authentication.
• Use the Service to send spam or bulk unsolicited messages.

4. Subscriptions & billing

• New schools receive a 14-day free trial. No card is required to start the trial.
• After the trial, continued use requires an active subscription on one of our published plans.
• Subscription fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law.
• We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice to the school administrator's email.
• If a subscription lapses, we may suspend access; data is retained for 90 days before deletion.

5. Your data

You retain all rights to the data you put into VidyaSuite. You grant us a limited licence to store and process that data solely to operate the Service. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle data.

6. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance windows may be scheduled with prior notice. We are not liable for downtime caused by our upstream providers, force majeure, or factors outside our control.

7. Intellectual property

VidyaSuite, its logo, and the Service's code and design are our property. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership to you. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the Service.

8. Termination

You may cancel anytime from the billing section. We may terminate or suspend your account immediately for a material breach of these Terms. On termination, your right to use the Service ends and your data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. In no event will VidyaSuite's total liability exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of India.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced by email to the school administrator at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
